Brenda and James

We are also grateful for the opportunity to tell you about ourselves.

We are Brenda and James and have been married for 13 years. We have raised and nurtured three wonderful daughters, Jadyn (10), Anissa (8) and Raven (5) and a dog and some of their little pets. We have always known we would be sharing everything we built together with a fourth child whom we would adopt.

We live in a beautiful neighborhood with many families who have young children, some are adopted. Our school district has a great rating and the elementary school is very close by. Every year Brenda is a class parent for one of the children so she is constantly at the school. Our home includes a beautiful nursery and play room with art table and desk for the children to work on lots of art projects. Our yard is over and acre and includes a jungle gym, swings, built in sandbox and monkey bars. The kids love playing outdoors, riding their bikes, running through the sprinklers, and sliding down a very large water slide we blow up.

As a family we enjoy many outings to farms, zoos, and orchards. In our community we visit libraries, parks and enjoy seeing all our friends at the town pool. We also like to spend time with each child individually and each one of us will alternate in taking one of the kids for ice cream, a movie, show or just shopping and lunch.

Holidays are very traditional and we get together with the entire family. The family also gets together to celebrate birthdays, communions, anniversaries and sometimes just because all the cousins are very close and the kids really enjoy seeing each other. We have a new baby girl cousin that just joined the family and hope we get to be next in bringing another baby into the family.

Brenda gets to be very involved with the children's school. She works part-time as a personal trainer and fitness instructor so her schedule revolves around the kids. Jimmy works as an engineer and real estate investor. He gets home pretty early and many times we are both at the bus stop when the kids come home. He is also lucky to work only about 25 minutes away. Once the kids are home we work on homework, dinner and after school activities. Each child is involved in a couple of after school activities. Jadyn and Anissa are both on a cheerleading team, dance and play the piano. Raven swims and rides horses. In the summer they go to specialty camps, dance, tennis, horse back riding, and theater camps.

We all have such a wonderful time, we can't wait to share a massive amount of love and joy with one more child that we would be so lucky to bring into our lives. Our kids, family and friends are so excited by our choice to adopt that we can't even express in words how welcomed this child will be. We truly understand what a difficult choice this must be for you and we really respect all the effort it takes you and we would hope to make it as comfortable as possible and this child would always be aware of the love that united us.
